Throughout the course
Sustainability, Society and You run by the University of Nottingham under the FutureLearn banner I have struggled to reconcile the aspirations of the people of Asia and Africa with the resulting demand on the world's resources. If they follow the same path as Europe and the USA the result is unlikely to be sustainable. The best I can do is to pose the question:
how do the majority of the world's population move to sustainability without going through their own industrial revolution?
